Solid Short Throw Shifter

The JH Motorsports JHM-STS-B8AS4AS5 is a premium solid short throw shifter engineered to replace the factory plastic and metal shifter assembly in select Audi B8 and B9 chassis vehicles. Constructed with a solid steel shifter shaft that is 1/2" shorter than stock and an industry-exclusive steel spherical bearing replacing the OEM ball and socket, this shifter ensures crisper, cleaner, and smoother gear engagement. It features OE-type lower linkage with two holes for adjustable throw reduction, offering either 20% or 35% less throw than stock. To accommodate aggressive drivers, the JHM shifter includes multiple pushdown reverse springs: a soft (plain) spring, a medium (silver) spring, and a stiff (gold) spring. The shifter comes pre-assembled with the soft spring installed, offering a feel similar to the stock unit, but the user can easily swap to the medium or stiff springs for increased resistance. This shifter is compatible with Audi B8 and B8.5 A4, A5, S4, and S5 models from 2008 to 2017, specifically A4 (2009-2016) with 2.0t TFSI engines, A5 (2008-2016) all engines, S4 (2010-2016) with 3.0t V6 SC engines, and S5 (2008-2017) all engines. It does not fit automatic transmission models. Installation is facilitated by JHM's accurate online video instructions, with total installation time typically ranging from 1 to 1.5 hours.
