Overview

It features a premium butyl rubber adhesive and a 1mm thick, annealed black foil constraint layer. The material is self-extinguishing and fire-resistant, rated for temperatures up to 450°F.

Show original supplier description

It utilizes an elastomeric butyl compound, free from asphalt or fillers, paired with an annealed black foil constraint layer. This construction allows Damplifier Pro to outperform top-tier sound deadeners while maintaining a lighter weight. It also provides thermal insulation, contributing to a more comfortable cabin environment. The material is temperature-rated from –75°F to 450°F and has passed the FMVSS 302 Flammability Test, ensuring it is self-extinguishing. Furthermore, it meets SCAQMD Rule 1168 VOC testing with zero VOCs. Installation involves preparing the metal surface by cleaning off debris and oils, then cutting the Damplifier Pro to size. The mat is applied by peeling off the wax paper backing and sticking the adhesive side to the metal. Using a hand roller is recommended to ensure a permanent bond and remove any air pockets, which further enhances performance. For maximum soundproofing, it can be combined with other layers like Luxury Liner Pro. The adhesion is guaranteed for the lifetime of your vehicle, and the product is proudly made in the USA.
