This clutch package is engineered for high-horsepower vehicles, offering a start performance similar to original equipment (O.E.). The Race Engineered (SS) pressure plate is SFI approved and boasts a significant load increase (+600-800 lbs.) over Stage 1 and 2 pressure plates. Users can expect a 20%-25% increase in pedal effort. The discs feature heat-treated wear-resistant hubs, drive plates, and springs for reliable high-load transfer and dependable operation. A dual dampening effect, simulating O.E. start performance, is achieved through sprung centers on the disc in conjunction with a marcel fin between the linings. The clutch utilizes a Performance Organic friction material with a high metal content, enhancing torque and RPM capability while maintaining low operating temperatures to reduce wear and glazing. It is recommended for daily driving, spirited street use, and occasional track events, and is also suitable for single mass flywheel (SMF) conversions where the original design was dual mass flywheel (DMF).
