SP1 Quadrajet Aluminum Intake Manifold

The TA Performance SP1 Quadrajet Intake Manifold is engineered for Buick 400, 430, and 455 V8 engines, offering improved throttle response and increased horsepower and torque. This single-plane aluminum manifold is designed for street/strip and full race applications, with a power band ideally suited between 5000 and 6500 RPM. It delivers strong performance from idle to 6200 RPM out-of-the-box, and can achieve up to 7000 RPM with proper port matching. The SP1 features long, narrow runners with a straight final 2-3 inches to direct the air/fuel charge directly at the valves, enhancing airflow velocity and reducing fuel dropout. This design minimizes the low-end power loss often associated with single-plane manifolds and ensures the intake is not a flow restriction for the cylinder heads. The "turtle shell" convex plenum floor further aids in directing the charge towards the runners, increasing velocity. This intake manifold has an open plenum design and is compatible with all factory iron heads, as well as TA's Aluminum Stage 1 and Stage 2 Street Eliminator Heads. It accepts Quadrajet carburetors and is compatible with OEM brackets. Note that the SP-1 Series intake manifolds are 1-3/4" taller than stock.
