Constructed from robust 3/16 inch steel, this carrier is built to last. It features 12 mounting points for enhanced stability compared to the factory's four, and 9/16"-18 lug studs for secure tire mounting. The design includes multiple vertical and front-to-back adjustments, allowing for optimal tire positioning to clear aftermarket bumpers and maintain departure angles. It's capable of holding up to a 40-inch tire, or a 37-inch tire when equipped with the optional Motobilt high-lift jack mount (MB1085, sold separately).

Installation is straightforward, requiring only basic hand tools. The carrier is compatible with both factory and aftermarket bumpers, and its integrated design ensures easy opening and closing with the factory door handle. Greasable mounting bolts at pivot points and Delrin hinge bushings with steel inner liners provide smooth operation and long-term durability. Note that a license plate relocation kit (MB2025) is recommended, as this carrier will not work with the 3rd brake light in its stock location. Designed for wheels with 4.25" to 5.5" backspacing, a wheel spacer may be necessary for wheels with larger backspacing. The product ships as raw steel and requires painting or powder coating to prevent rust.
