The Terrafirma spare wheel carrier gas strut is a direct replacement component for the TF053 swing-away spare wheel carrier. This gas-pressurized strut restores smooth operation and holding power to carriers that have become difficult to open or will no longer stay in the open position.

This replacement restores full functionality and ease of use to your spare wheel carrier system. Designed as a direct-fit component, this strut allows for a straightforward swap for the original hardware on Land Rover Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 models equipped with the TF053 carrier. It is manufactured in the United Kingdom to meet consistent quality standards. Please ensure the mounting hardware and carrier assembly are in good condition prior to installation to ensure optimal performance of the new strut.
