This Spartacus hinge casting is part of the Heavy Duty Tailgate Tire Carrier for 97-06 Wrangler TJ/LJ. It replaces the feeble stock tailgate hinges with a brutally strong die-cast aluminum hinge casting, forged steel hinges, and hardened steel pins. This design provides increased load-bearing capacity, allowing for up to a 35-inch tire/wheel combo, while maintaining smooth, one-handed access to the cargo area. It is compatible with OE and most aftermarket rear bumpers and is protected with a durable black textured powder coat. No drilling is required for installation.
