The Metra 82-VW1 is an integrated speaker adapter and wiring harness kit engineered for the replacement of factory front door speakers in Volkswagen vehicles spanning 1998 to 2015. By utilizing these durable ABS plastic adapter plates, installers can securely mount aftermarket speakers ranging from 5.25 inches to 6.75 inches into original factory openings without requiring extensive modifications. This combo kit provides the necessary mechanical mounting hardware for the adapter plates alongside the corresponding speaker wiring harnesses, which allow for a plug-and-play electrical connection to the factory audio system. Please note that mounting hardware for the aftermarket speakers themselves is not included in this package. This solution is specifically intended for front-door location fitment in compatible Volkswagen models manufactured between 1998 and 2015.
