The Koni Special ACTIVE 8745-1336R is a premium front right shock absorber engineered to provide an exceptional balance of sporty handling and passenger comfort. This advanced suspension component incorporates Koni's latest generation of patented Frequency Selective Damping Technology (ACTIVE Technology). This innovative system intelligently controls larger suspension movements, such as those experienced during cornering and significant body roll, while simultaneously smoothing out smaller impacts like expansion joints and rough road surfaces. Designed as a direct replacement for the front right strut on specific Mazda 3 models from 2014 to 2018 (FWD), the Koni Special ACTIVE 8745-1336R utilizes a durable twin-tube construction. This design involves an inner working tube for the piston and an outer reservoir tube for excess oil. As the piston rod moves, oil flows between the tubes, controlled by valves, to provide precise damping that manages vehicle suspension effectively. The shock absorber is gas-charged for consistent performance. Koni emphasizes that the SPECIAL ACTIVE technology offers a unique combination of performance for the driver and comfort for the passengers, a technology proven in over 10 million factory-equipped vehicles.
