The Simpson Speed Bandit Americana Helmet combines Simpson's drag racing design heritage with motorcycle-specific features, revised aerodynamics, and a polycarbonate shell. It features three unique thermo-injected shell sizes to reduce weight and overall profile. Airflow is maximized by Simpson's "Speed Brow" venturi ridges at the helmet's crown, which pull fresh air over the rider's face and into channels molded into the EPS liner, then expelled through rear exhaust ports. The face shield has a locking mechanism with four selectable positions and offers an expanded field of vision. The helmet is designed to be comm-friendly with cheek pads that accept speakers for Bluetooth installation. It is DOT approved and ECE 2205 certified. The helmet ships with a clear face shield; tinted face shields are available separately.
