Speed Density MAF Conversion Harness

The iWire Hybrid MAF Wiring Kit offers enhanced tuner adaptability, providing flexibility for various engine management strategies. This kit allows a tuner to dynamically switch between Speed Density, MAF (with more accurate air temperature input), or a combined setup mid-tune, ensuring optimal performance for specific applications on the dyno. This harness is ideal for vehicles with an existing intake system that incorporates a MAF sensor. Instead of leaving the MAF sensor housing open or requiring a cover, the Hybrid kit utilizes it, avoiding the need for additional parts to block the opening. For intakes without a MAF slot, such as many rotated turbo setups, a dedicated Speed Density setup might be more appropriate. Fitment details include specific harness lengths: 48 inches for front mount intercooler (FMIC) setups and 36 inches for top mount intercooler setups. The kit is compatible with AEM IAT sensors. For 3/8" NPT sensors, the AEM #30-2010 with a weld-on bung is utilized. For 1/8" NPT sensor applications, a modified harness is available with a small upcharge, accommodating the AEM #30-2014 sensor which also includes a weld-on bung. This kit is compatible with 2002+ STi, 2002-2014 WRX, 2004-2014 Forester XT, 2005-2012 Legacy GT, and 2005-2012 Outback XT models. Specific fitment notes indicate that Cobb FMIC Kits utilize the 3/8" NPT IAT Sensor Type.
