Speed Density Wiring Harness

The iWire Speed Density wiring harness offers a direct, plug-and-play solution for transitioning your vehicle to Speed Density tuning. This harness is specifically recommended for tuners when a vehicle features a larger turbocharger or significantly increased power output, as the stock Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor can become less accurate in these scenarios. By utilizing this Speed Density harness, your tuner can achieve a more precise calculation of the air entering the engine, leading to optimized performance. It features a military-grade Raychem DR25 sleeving for superior heat and abrasion resistance, protecting the wires from melting on the engine block or wearing through due to vibration. Additionally, iWire seals the cavities for unused connections within the plug to prevent corrosion and water wicking, which can cause severe damage to the main harness. This design approach also makes it easier to revert to the stock MAF setup if needed, avoiding the complexities of cutting and splicing wires. The Speed Density wiring kit is compatible with any 3/8" NPT IAT sensor and can be ordered with an optional AEM 30-2010 sensor and weld-on bung. For applications requiring a 1/8" NPT sensor, iWire offers a modified harness with a slight upcharge, and the AEM 30-2014 sensor with a weld-on bung is available. The harness lengths vary depending on the intercooler setup: 48 inches for front mount intercoolers and 36 inches for top mount intercoolers. This Speed Density wiring harness is compatible with a range of Subaru models including 2002+ STi, 2002-2014 WRX, 2004-2014 Forester XT, 2005-2012 Legacy GT, and 2005-2012 Outback XT. Fitment notes indicate that Cobb FMIC Kits specifically utilize the 3/8" NPT IAT sensor type.
