It is compatible with all types of motor oils, including synthetic, conventional, and blended formulations, making it a versatile choice for various maintenance needs. A key convenience feature is the integrated one-inch welded hex nut, which allows for quick and easy removal with a standard wrench. The K&N HP-2002 is designed to fit a vast array of vehicles, including many Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac models, as well as numerous heavy-duty trucks and buses, spanning from the 1960s to more recent models. However, specific fitment should always be confirmed. For example, while generally compatible, it is noted that the HP-2002 does not fit a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 4x4.
