MIA's Description

The JE Pistons lock ring is a Spirolox-type piston wrist pin retainer. This lock ring has a wrist pin diameter of 1.031 inches and a thickness of 0.037 inches.

These lock rings are suitable for engines with press-fit pins that can be converted to a floating type, provided the piston has provisions for a lock ring retainer. Floating pins are generally preferred by serious engine builders.
