The solid steel plates are usually mounted in front of the wheels to prevent objects from "riding" the tire and being thrown forward, keeping your underbody truck boxes or reservoirs dent and scratch free. Constructed from 12-gauge reinforced steel, they are powder-coated for corrosion resistance and include pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation.
