This innovative design uses precisely machined splines that are pressed into the crank, creating a positive lock. The genius of the "Spline Lock" lies in its self-tightening mechanism: rotational forces actually drive the hub and its splines deeper into the crank. In situations where a stock hub might slip, the "Spline Lock" hub is driven more securely into place, akin to a splined extractor. The final production version has demonstrated extreme robustness, even managing to break a testing rig before slipping.
