The VTT "Spline Lock" Crank Hub System offers a unique solution for BMW N54, N55, and S55 engines, eliminating the common issue of crank hub slip without the need for crankshaft drilling or welding. This innovative system employs proprietary Spline Lock Technology, which uses a precisely machined spline interface that presses into the crank, ensuring a positive lock and a stock-like installation process that is fully reversible. Rigorous development, including over ten prototype revisions, led to a product that has been validated in extreme conditions, such as breaking a testing rig and performing reliably on a race car achieving 8,000 RPM and over 900 WHP. Constructed from 440C tool steel and heat-treated to HRC60 hardness, the VTT Spline Lock Crank Hub is engineered for exceptional strength and durability under high-stress, race-oriented applications. Installation of this system is complex and requires factory timing tools; it is strongly recommended to be performed by a qualified technician or professional shop to prevent potential engine damage. The product is sold without warranty and is intended strictly for race use only, with the no-slip guarantee being valid only when installed by a Certified VTT Install Center.
