Spline Lock CrankHub for N54/N55/S55

The Vargas Turbo Technologies "Spline Lock" CrankHub Solution is engineered to address a known weakness in high-performance BMW N54, N55, and S55 engines: the tendency for the stock crank hub to spin under certain conditions, even in healthy engines. Unlike other solutions, this system employs Vargas' proprietary "Spline Lock" technology. This method uses precisely machined splines that are pressed into the crankshaft, creating a positive lock that transfers torque effectively, similar to how splines are used in transmissions and clutches. Constructed from hardened 440C Tool Steel with a Rockwell hardness of HRC60, this crank hub is built for ultimate durability and toughness. The "Spline Lock" design eliminates the need to drill pins into the crankshaft, significantly reducing installation labor and allowing for a reversible installation if ever desired (requiring a specific VTT hub puller). Extensive testing has validated this design. The final production version managed to break the testing rig before slipping, and it has been successfully tested on the VTT N54 race car under extreme conditions, spinning at 8K RPM and producing over 900WHP. Installation is comparable to a stock hub replacement. However, it is strongly recommended that the Crank Hub System be installed by a qualified shop or technician, as timing tools are 100% required to prevent potential engine damage due to improper installation.
