The ScienceofSpeed Sport 550 Twin Organic Clutch & Flywheel Kit is engineered to provide high-performance clutch capabilities while maintaining exceptional drivability for your S2000. This kit is designed for vehicles producing in excess of 500 wheel horsepower, offering a torque capacity of 550 lb-ft at the engine, capable of supporting up to 600 wheel horsepower. The clutch features a unique organic friction material, allowing for smooth engagement that is often difficult to achieve with performance clutches. Additionally, a damped floating mid-plate minimizes noise during idle and operation. The pressure plate incorporates a patented design with captive ball bearings to reduce actuation friction. For drivetrain protection, the disc has a fully encapsulated sprung hub to absorb shock during aggressive driving, safeguarding the transmission, rear end, and axles. This comprehensive kit includes all necessary components: the flywheel, clutch assembly (twin organic discs, floater plate, pressure plate), release bearing, pilot bearing, and alignment tool. For 2004-2009 S2000 models, ScienceofSpeed recommends replacing the factory slave cylinder to eliminate the delay valve; the 2000-2003 slave cylinder is compatible and available separately.
