The Cat Cams 1302603 Sport Camshaft Pair is manufactured in Belgium, offering a balance of performance and affordability. These camshafts are designed to increase top-end power and are specifically engineered for N14 Engines which utilize two overhead cams. The intake cam has a duration of 257° at 0.1mm (216° at 1.0mm) with a valve lift of 10.00mm, while the exhaust cam offers 251° at 0.1mm (209° at 1.0mm) with a 9.50mm valve lift. Installation of these camshafts requires ECU reprogramming, and custom tunes are not provided by the sellers; professional tuning by a local shop is necessary. Proper installation is critical, as incorrect fitting can lead to severe engine damage. It is essential to ensure a minimum of 1.0mm clearance between the valve and piston at specific points after Top Dead Center (TDC) on the intake and before TDC on the exhaust. Machining of pistons may be required. This product is not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle, as per the California Air Resources Board regulations.
