Drivability is similar to stock, with slightly higher pedal efforts due to increased clamp loads. All Stage 1 clutch discs have spring center dampers for smooth clutch engagement. Clutch covers achieve approximately 40% higher clamping load than genuine parts, allowing higher torque transmitting capacity. Ductile material is used for all pressure plates for high burst strength in all temperature ranges. This advanced facing material provides high heat resistance essential for motorsports, developed by reviewing copper wire ratio and high strength fiber composition. The Ultra Fiber Disc maintains superior half-engagement feeling specific to Organic material, with improved high heat resistance for street performance and mild racing applications. All EXEDY Stage 1 Organic, Stage 2 Cerametallic, and Lightweight Flywheels carry SFI 1.1 Certification.
