The Flyin' Miata FM V-Maxx XXtreme coilovers represent an evolution of their popular V-Maxx Classic suspension, now featuring adjustable damping. The revised design includes offset bushings in the rear shocks for increased clearance and a wider range of height adjustment, along with a single long front spring to maximize travel and prevent coil bind. The XXtreme Sport package is equipped with spring rates of 391 lb/in for the front and 258 lb/in for the rear. The adjustable shock damping is carefully matched to these springs, and a 1/2" shorter rear shock body enhances compression travel for improved ride quality and handling, even when the vehicle is lowered. Buyers have full control over ride height and corner weighting due to the adjustable spring perches. Installation considerations include the fact that this kit does not include upper shock mount parts; owners will reuse their stock components. It is recommended to replace the factory shock shaft bushings during installation. Importantly, these coilovers are not compatible with Flyin' Miata's own rear upper mounts, as this combination can exceed the suspension's physical travel limits. The use of factory upper mounts is exclusively recommended.
