Sport Coilover Assembly

The SF Racing Sport Coilovers provide a significant upgrade for the 1976-1985 Mercedes-Benz E-Class RWD (W123), offering a balance of performance and adjustability for street-driven applications. These coilovers feature a monotube damper design that enhances heat dissipation and reduces oil leakage, ensuring consistent performance. With 32 levels of damping adjustment, drivers can precisely tune both rebound and compression to achieve their desired ride quality. The ride height is adjustable, typically allowing for a 1-2.5 inch drop below factory height without sacrificing suspension travel. The system utilizes independent lower mount adjustment to maintain shock and spring integrity during height adjustments. Construction highlights include T6-6061 aluminum for lightweight, corrosion-resistant top mounts, perches, and collars, along with electroplated, zinc-coated shock bodies for rust protection. The springs are made from SAE9254 Japanese cold-wound steel for durability and consistent performance. Components are protected by integrated dust boots and bump stops, and the coilovers are designed as a 100% bolt-on replacement. The use of Japanese NOK seals and Italian IP damping oil ensures longevity and reliable damping performance. All SF Racing suspension fits 2WD vehicles unless otherwise specified. These coilovers do not interface with OEM electronic damping control systems, and additional parts may be necessary to remove error codes if the original suspension included electronic damping.
