The SF Racing Sport Coilovers are engineered for the 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol (EG) FWD chassis, providing a performance-oriented upgrade for street driving. The ride height can be lowered between 1 to 2.5 inches from the factory setting, ensuring a more aggressive look and potentially improved center of gravity. Key features include a monotube damper design that enhances heat dissipation and minimizes oil leakage, contributing to consistent performance. The damping system offers 32 levels of adjustability, controlling both rebound and compression with a single knob. For durability and weight savings, the construction utilizes T6-6061 aluminum for top mounts, perches, and collars, while the shock bodies are electroplated with a zinc coating for superior rust protection. The suspension employs Japanese SAE9254 cold-wound springs and Japanese NOK seals, paired with Italian IP damping oil to ensure longevity and prevent leaks. These coilovers are a 100% bolt-on replacement, requiring no modifications for installation. They come standard with integrated dust boots and bump stops to protect components. While the standard configuration uses rubber top mounts for noise reduction, optional pillowball mounts are available for enhanced handling. It is important to note that SF Racing coilovers DO NOT interface with OEM electronic damping control systems. If your vehicle has such systems, additional parts may be required to prevent error codes.
