Sport Coilovers

The SF Racing Sport Coilovers are engineered for the 1979-1989 Ford Mustang Fox Body, offering a premium upgrade for street-driven vehicles. These coilovers feature a monotube damper design for improved heat dissipation and reduced oil leakage, paired with SAE9254 Japanese cold-wound springs for consistent performance. The damping is adjustable across 32 levels, combining both rebound and compression into a single knob for fine-tuning ride quality. Constructed with T6-6061 aluminum for top mounts, perches, and collars, these coilovers are lightweight and corrosion-resistant, featuring an anodized coating for protection. The shock bodies are electroplated with a zinc coating for rust protection, and they utilize low-friction, pressure-resistant housings to ensure smooth damping and longevity. Integrated dust boots and bump stops protect components from debris and wear, while Japanese NOK seals and Italian IP damping oil prevent leaks. These coilovers are designed as a 100% bolt-on replacement and can be rebuilt using individual replacement parts. These coilovers are designed to lower the vehicle by 1-2.5 inches below factory height, though factory ride height cannot typically be achieved. The front suspension features a true coilover design with 52mm diameter dampers and spring rates of 8 kg/mm, while the rear utilizes a divorced design with 46mm diameter dampers and 4.5 kg/mm spring rates. Standard front top mounts include aluminum with rubber bushings, with optional aluminum camber plates with pillowball bushings available. It is important to note that SF Racing coilovers DO NOT interface with OEM electronic damping control systems; additional parts may be needed to remove error codes if the OEM suspension includes electronics. All SF Racing suspension fits 2WD vehicles unless otherwise specified as AWD.
