Sport Monotube Coilovers, 1-Way Adjustable

The SF Racing Sport Coilovers are engineered for street-driven cars, offering a balance of performance and ride quality for the 1996-2003 BMW 5 Series Sedan (E39) RWD chassis. These coilovers feature a monotube damper design to enhance heat dissipation and reduce oil leakage, paired with SAE9254 Japanese cold-wound springs (8 kg/mm front, 6 kg/mm rear) for consistent performance. The damping is adjustable via a 1-way system with 32 distinct levels, controlling both rebound and compression through a single knob. Ride height can be independently adjusted, allowing for a drop of 1 to 2.5 inches below the factory setting without compromising suspension travel. The construction includes T6-6061 aluminum for top mounts, perches, and collars, which are anodized for corrosion resistance, and an electroplated shock body for further rust protection. Installation is designed as a 100% bolt-on replacement, meaning no modifications are typically required. However, it's important to note that these coilovers DO NOT interface with OEM electronic damping control systems (like EDC, DDS). If your vehicle is equipped with such systems, additional parts may be necessary to clear error codes. The front top mounts come standard with aluminum and rubber bushings for noise reduction, with an optional upgrade to aluminum camber plates with pillowball bushings available. The rear top mounts use aluminum with rubber bushings. All SF Racing coilovers are rebuildable, allowing for replacement of individual parts such as shock cartridges. The product comes with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
