The Koni SPORT Rear Shock Absorber is engineered for performance and everyday driving, providing a blend of street ride quality and precise corner carving handling control for your 1997-2001 Acura Integra. These shocks are also considered the best Koni option for all performance lowering springs. Featuring an external adjustment style, these Koni shocks allow for on-vehicle adjustment of rebound damping, enabling fine-tuning of your suspension's capabilities. Turning the knob clockwise results in a softer setting, while counter-clockwise adjustment provides a firmer ride. Koni shock absorbers utilize either a monotube or twin-tube design. For this application, the engineers have selected the twin-tube design. This construction features an inner tube where the piston works and an outer reservoir tube for excess oil. As the piston rod moves, oil is directed between the tubes, controlled by valves, to manage suspension damping during both compression (bump) and extension (rebound) strokes.
