The Evolution Racewerks Sport Series 4" High Flow Catted Downpipe is engineered to enhance the performance of BMW B48 and B46 four-cylinder turbo engines. This downpipe replaces the restrictive factory catalytic converter with a high-flow 200-cell metallic unit, combined with smooth-flowing 4-inch mandrel-bent piping. Constructed from 100% stainless steel and precision TIG welded, it features a CNC machined V-Band flange for a secure connection to the turbocharger. Key features include potential horsepower gains of 9-11 whp and torque gains of 15-20+ wtq, depending on vehicle modifications and software. Drivers can expect improved throttle response and faster turbo spool-up times. The downpipe is designed with a stainless steel flex section, similar to the factory setup, to allow for proper exhaust movement and reduce stress on components, enhancing durability and preventing premature wear.
