The Evolution Racewerks Sport Series Oil Cooler Kit is engineered to combat the high oil temperatures characteristic of the N54 and N55 engines. By significantly lowering operating oil temperatures, this kit helps prevent thermal degradation, maintains oil viscosity, and ultimately enhances the longevity of your engine's internal components. The system boasts substantial oil coolers, measuring 11"x8"x2" with end tanks, offering a core volume of 144 cubic inches, which is over 350% larger than the stock 41 cubic inch factory oil cooler. Installation is rated as easy (2 out of 5). The kit includes all necessary hardware for a straightforward setup. This design was developed from harsh racing conditions to ensure durability and performance. Key features include the option for a Type III Hard Anodize Black finish, which not only provides a stealthy appearance but also adds a layer of protection to the cooler fins, making them more resistant to damage from rocks and other road debris. Optional nylon braided lines are also available upon request. This oil cooler kit is compatible with various BMW models, including the 135i (E82/E88) and 3 Series (E9X) equipped with N54 or N55 3.0L engines. Specific fitments include the 135i, 335i, and 335xi across different model years and engine variants. Early 2006 335i models that did not come with a factory oil cooler will require a conversion kit, which includes a new oil filter housing and related components.
