Sports-I Coilover System

The RS-R Sports-I coilover system is engineered to offer a balance between spirited weekend track drives and daily driving comfort for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX STI. These coilovers feature hand-assembled monotube dampers, designed with quality and detail in mind. Each unit incorporates components such as laser-cut upper mounts and hand-welded lower brackets, paired with vehicle-specific valving to enhance ride quality, performance, and overall comfort. Constructed with urethane bushings instead of bearings, the RS-R Sports-I coilovers aim to reduce excessive vibrations and minimize noises from suspension movements during everyday driving. For MacPherson suspension systems, roller bearings are utilized to prevent spring twist noise as the suspension rotates with the steering wheel. Rubber padding is also integrated to further eliminate potential noises from suspension movements. These coilovers offer extensive adjustability, with dampers featuring up to 36-way adjustable dials for both compression and rebound. This allows drivers to fine-tune the suspension to their specific needs for various driving conditions. The system also allows for refined camber tuning; on select vehicles, the upper mounts can provide an additional 1.5 degrees of camber by rotating the plate 180 degrees. For more precise camber control, adjustable camber plates are available separately for select models. Key specifications include a chassis code of GRB, with preset approximate height drops of -25mm to -30mm in the front and -15mm to -20mm in the rear. Maximum adjustment ranges are 0mm to -75mm in the front and +25mm to -60mm in the rear. Recommended adjustments for optimal ride-ability are -5mm to -45mm for both front and rear. Spring rates are 8.00kg/mm for the front and 7.00kg/mm for the rear. The RS-R Sports-I coilovers come with a 1-year or 12,000-mile warranty from the date of purchase.
