The Evolution Racewerks Sports Series 4.5" High Flow Catted Downpipe is engineered to significantly reduce exhaust flow restrictions in BMW B58 six-cylinder engines, leading to increased horsepower and torque. It replaces the factory catalytic converter, a major bottleneck, with a high-flow 200-cell metallic core that allows exhaust gases to pass more easily, resulting in improved throttle response and faster turbo spool-up times. Constructed from 100% 304-grade stainless steel, this downpipe features mandrel-bent 4.5"/4" piping for a smooth transition to the exhaust system. It is 100% TIG welded for superior quality and durability. The precision CNC machined turbocharger V-Band flange ensures a seamless connection to the turbocharger outlet, preventing turbulence and backpressure that can hinder performance. Options include a brush finish, polished finish, and a high-temperature black thermal coating to reduce underhood temperatures. It also offers optional bungs for wideband O2 sensors and EGT gauges.
