The Evolution Racewerks Sports Series 4" High Flow Catted Downpipe is engineered to significantly reduce exhaust flow restrictions, leading to increased horsepower and torque, particularly in turbocharged vehicles. By replacing the restrictive factory catalytic converter with a high-flow 200-cell metallic unit and utilizing 4" mandrel-bent piping, this downpipe promotes smoother exhaust gas flow, faster turbo spool, and improved throttle response. Constructed from 100% 304-grade stainless steel, this downpipe is TIG welded for superior quality and durability. It features a precision CNC-machined V-Band flange that matches the factory turbocharger outlet. To maintain exhaust system integrity and prevent stress on components like the exhaust manifold and turbocharger, a stainless steel flex section is incorporated, which is often omitted by competitors. The design includes long transitions to smoothly adapt from the 4" downpipe to a 2.5" factory exhaust system, minimizing turbulence and backpressure. This downpipe is compatible with both factory and aftermarket exhaust systems. It is made in the USA and comes with all necessary hardware for installation. Options for a polished finish, ceramic thermal coating to reduce underhood temperatures, and additional bungs for wideband O2 or EGT sensors are available.
