Sports Series 4-Inch Catted Downpipe

The Evolution Racewerks Sports Series 4" High Flow Catted Downpipe is engineered to significantly reduce exhaust flow restrictions in turbocharged BMW and Mini vehicles equipped with the B46 engine. This downpipe replaces the restrictive factory catalytic converter with a high-flow 200-cell metallic unit, allowing for increased horsepower and torque. It is constructed from 100% stainless steel with TIG-welded seams and features 4-inch mandrel-bent piping for smooth exhaust gas flow. This downpipe is designed to provide tangible performance benefits, including an average horsepower gain of 9-11 whp and torque gains of 15 wtq on stock boost, which can exceed 20 wtq with a software upgrade. Users can expect a higher peak horsepower, a more responsive initial torque curve that hits faster and holds longer, improved throttle response, and quicker turbo spool times. The downpipe is compatible with factory or aftermarket exhaust systems and includes all necessary hardware for a complete installation. Available finishes include brushed or polished stainless steel, with an optional high-temperature black thermal coating to reduce underhood temperatures and improve corrosion resistance. Additional options include an EGT sensor bung and an additional O2 sensor bung for wideband sensors.
