The Dodson Motorsport Sportsman's 8HP76 BMW Clutch Kit is engineered to unlock the full potential of your BMW G8X, offering superior performance, durability, and seamless drivability. The kit features high-coefficient frictions and tempered steels across all five clutches (A through E), with each clutch boasting an increased plate count for enhanced strength and torque capacity. The reinforced billet hubs for the rotating clutches C and E are CNC machined from 7075 aluminum, significantly reducing rotating mass. These hubs are also hard-anodized for improved durability and wear resistance, and feature additional oiling holes to optimize oil flow and ensure optimal temperature control for the denser clutch stacks. The E hub utilizes a platform-first two-piece design with an alloy steel center to maximize spline strength. Furthermore, clutches C and E are equipped with separator wave springs. This design promotes even separation across the clutch stack and facilitates rapid disengagement of the plates, minimizing drag and enhancing crossover performance. This ultimately streamlines the calibration process and prevents common issues associated with increased plate counts, such as jerky behavior, difficult learning attempts, or poor creep/take-off performance.
