StopTech Sport Rotors feature symmetric vane and split-core castings for uniform heat distribution. They are protected by a black E-Coat anti-corrosive coating, offering superior protection compared to competitors' spray paint. The friction surface is double disc ground for optimal performance and service life. These rotors are also available with an optional cryogenic treatment, which is a one-time process that permanently improves the performance and wear characteristics of metal components. This treatment is often preferred by fleet customers for its ability to extend the service life of the brake rotor. The drilled/slotted design helps evacuate gasses, dust, and heat, while the directional curve vane designs (on selected applications) and Power Alloy, a descendant of the patented AeroRotor, contribute to increased initial bite and wet weather response. They also offer superior resistance to cracks from thermal stress. These rotors are a direct OE replacement, ensuring a consistent friction surface. The extra manufacturing process provides better rotor balance and a cleaner, more finished looking component, with rotors inspected for balance and mill-corrected to a tolerance of less than 2oz.
