Overview

The Turbo-Master is a spring-actuated wastegate boost controller that bypasses the factory vacuum canister for improved boost control. It provides a quicker spool time, more turbo efficiency, more boost, and more power by not bleeding off boost pressure under the set maximum. Installation is a simple bolt-on upgrade, taking approximately 20-30 minutes.

By bypassing the factory system, it offers a significantly better and more controllable boost curve. This allows for quicker spool times, increased turbo efficiency, higher boost levels, and ultimately, more power. The factory wastegate system is known to leak boost pressure around 40% of peak boost, which hinders performance. The Turbo-Master addresses this by not bleeding off boost pressure below its set maximum, ensuring consistent power delivery and improved turbo performance. When used in conjunction with Max-E Tork programming, it can achieve 14-15 PSI under full throttle. However, it is recommended to use this controller with the Max-E Tork program, as the factory tune is not optimized for boost pressures exceeding 8 psi. Installation is straightforward, with the Turbo-Master serving as a simple bolt-on upgrade that can typically be installed within 20-30 minutes. This controller is available for specific GM models, including 1992-1995 GM4, 1996-2000 GM5 & GM8, and H1 / Van / HMV GM6 applications. Each kit includes the Turbo-Master wastegate, necessary hardware, and a vacuum check ball.
