The Xtreme KFD27001-1A is a Stage 1 sprung organic clutch kit, engineered for street performance driving in vehicles with moderate performance enhancements like exhaust, intake, and tuning modifications. This kit is designed to offer exceptional driveability while enhancing the vehicle's torque capacity by approximately 15-20%, up to 560 Nm. The sprung organic friction material and sprung disc design work together to reduce shock loading to the transmission, providing superior dampening and a smoother engagement compared to rigid discs. This feature is particularly beneficial for daily driven vehicles that also see performance use. The clutch disc measures 268mm in diameter with a 10-spline count and a 27mm spline diameter. Installation is aided by included components such as a spigot bush/bearing, aligning tool, and spline grease. It's important to note that photos may be generic and the intermediate plate in sprung kits can sometimes cause a rattling noise when the clutch pedal is depressed, a common characteristic of performance clutch upgrades. This clutch kit is specifically designed for the Ford LTD (1999-2002) AU Sedan with the 5.0 MPFI V8 RWD Petrol 5.0L engine (185kW).
