The light emitting diode is also called a luminescence diode or, in short, LED. LED stands for "light emitting diode", as it turns electrical energy into light. Physically, it is a cold-light source and an electronic semiconductor component part in optoelectronics. Its conductivity lies between that of conductors (e.g. metals, water, graphite) and non-conducting materials (e.g. non-metals, glass, wood). Spyder Auto has taken existing housing as well as new designs and added LED bulbs to the Low and High beams to maximize night time driving visibility. This is the highest quality and most technology equipped set of lights on the market.

These projector headlights from Spyder Auto's Apex Series improve looks and visibility. Manufactured by OEM approved and ISO certified facilities to OEM standard quality for direct stock light replacement. The Apex Series integrates LED bulb technology directly into the housings, maximizing nighttime driving visibility with a bright, luminous, steady beam and a crisp cutoff line, extending up to 40% further than factory halogen bulbs. Features: Switch Back Sequential LED Turn Signal, DRL Crystal Light Bar Parking Light, High LED (Included), Low LED (Included), Turn Signal LED (Included). Notes: Compatible with Halogen Models ONLY. NOT compatible with factory Xenon/HID models. Adding HID/LED Bulbs will void the warranty. Does not require a CCFL Inverter. Made with semiconductor compounds for superior performance and longevity. LEDs offer low energy consumption, long service life (25,000-50,000 hours), impact and vibration resistance, reduced heat build-up, no maintenance, mercury-free, good glare limitation, inertialess switching, and high-quality light projection.
