The Weiand Street Warrior intake manifold is a high-performance dual-plane intake manifold designed with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to maximize horsepower and torque for today's engines. This manifold features a low-rise design that builds maximum torque, making it ideal for street performance applications. Its square bore carburetor mounting flange and exhaust crossover enhance street drivability. The manifold's port size is 1.82 inches high by 1.02 inches wide, with a front height of 3.82 inches and a rear height of 4.75 inches. It is designed to operate effectively within a power band from idle to 5500 RPM. The use of a permanent mold casting process contributes to a lighter, smoother finish and improved aesthetics. Weiand has a long history in performance component development, dating back to the first aluminum intake manifold in 1937. Dyno testing has shown significant gains, with one test reporting an additional 14 peak HP and 13 lb/ft of torque over a competing brand, and average increases of 9.5 HP and 8.5 lb/ft of torque from 2,200 to 6,000 RPM. This testing was conducted on a 302 engine with specific head, cam, carburetor, and header configurations. Please note that this intake manifold is not 50-state legal for all year, make, model, and engine combinations. It is legal for sale or use only on non-emissions controlled vehicles or as a direct replacement for a factory-installed part. Non-emissions controlled vehicles are defined as 1965 and older U.S. manufactured California certified vehicles, 1967 and older U.S. manufactured Federally certified vehicles, and 1967 and older Foreign manufactured vehicles. Installing this part on an emissions-controlled vehicle is against the law. It is designed for 1962 and later 221-260-289-302 (non-Boss) cid Ford V-8 engines.
