The Tomei solid pivot shim guide is engineered to replace the stock hydraulic lash adjusters in Nissan SR20DE and SR20DET engines. This upgrade is particularly beneficial for high-RPM and high-horsepower applications, as it enhances the reliability of valvetrain components and allows for more precise cam profile setup. By eliminating hydraulic adjusters, this solid pivot system ensures adequate cam clearance adjustments while keeping the total height of each cylinder's pivot fixed, leading to a more precise and stable head system.
