Description

The Genuine GM Parts 12589016 is a camshaft retainer plate designed to fit behind the front cover. It acts as a seal for front oil passages that supply oil to the lifters, cam, and main bearings. This plate features a specially designed O-ring seal to ensure proper oil containment and supports greater cam loads from higher RPM applications, aggressive cam profiles, and valvesprings. It fits all factory LSX, LTX, and the new LV1 and LV3 V6 direct injected 4.3 engines.
