The Castrol SRF Racing Brake Fluid is a high-performance, synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid developed for the demands of racing. It exceeds US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, as well as ISO 4925, JIS K2233, and SAE J 1703 specifications.

This fluid boasts exceptionally high boiling points, with a dry boiling point of 594°F and a wet boiling point of 518°F.

It is specifically formulated to deliver exceptional braking performance under rigorous racing conditions, offering one of the highest boiling points available in the industry. This fluid significantly exceeds US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3 and DOT 4, along with ISO 4925, JIS K2233, and current SAE J 1703 specifications. It features an impressive dry boiling point of 594°F (312°C) and a wet boiling point of 518°F (270°C), ensuring consistent and reliable braking performance even at extreme temperatures. Castrol SRF's unique formulation, based on a silicon ester technology, absorbs less moisture compared to conventional glycol ether fluids. This characteristic helps to maintain its high boiling point and anti-vapor lock properties over time, providing a firmer pedal feel and superior braking during arduous conditions. However, it is crucial to note that while it absorbs less water, it is still hygroscopic and requires regular changes, ideally every 18 months or before track events, to maintain optimal performance. It is compatible with most factory brake systems and fluids, and is miscible with all conventional fluids meeting the specified DOT 3, DOT 4, ISO 4925, and SAE J 1703/J1704 standards. To derive maximum benefit, it is recommended to completely drain and flush conventional brake fluids from the system before refilling with Castrol SRF.
