The VIS Racing SS Style Carbon Fiber Hood offers a significant aesthetic and performance upgrade for the 2014-2019 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray. Engineered as a direct replacement for the factory hood, this component is crafted from premium, ISO-certified Grade-A carbon fiber. The construction utilizes a two-part design. The top layer features high-grade carbon fiber bonded with a robust epoxy resin, finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective Poly Shield coating for a lasting high-gloss appearance. The underside is a one-piece, smooth shell fused to the top layer, enhancing the hood's structural integrity. VIS Racing also offers its Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which uses a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter while maintaining or improving durability, without a significant cost increase. Every VIS Carbon Fiber Hood comes with a badge of authenticity. Please note that due to the nature of this product and for safety, hood pins are required. Customers should verify local laws regarding hood pin usage for street applications. This hood is specifically designed to fit Chevrolet Corvettes from model years 2014 to 2016.
