Overview

The Amerihood SSK Style hood is a functional ram air hood designed as a replacement for the factory hood on Dodge Ram 1500 Classic models. It features a built-in ram air tunnel to direct cold intake air to performance intake systems and heat extractor vents to remove hot air from the engine bay.

Constructed from hand-laid fiberglass and resin, this hood comes with a gel coat finish on both the top and underside for easier preparation before painting. It utilizes factory hinges and latch for installation and includes aluminum wire mesh grill inserts where applicable.

The Amerihood SSK Style Functional Heat Extractor Ram Air Hood is engineered for Dodge Ram 1500 Classic models, offering a performance-oriented upgrade over the stock hood. Additionally, integrated heat extractor vents help to draw hot air away from the engine bay, potentially improving performance and cooling. It features a smooth gel coat finish on both the top and underside, which simplifies the preparation process for painting and reduces labor time. The design also incorporates the use of factory hinges and striker for an easier installation. Important fitment notes: This hood does NOT fit the 2019 Ram 1500 New Body Style. Furthermore, the manufacturer states that this hood requires hand-finishing for paint prep and fitment and is not a simple bolt-on installation. It is recommended to dry-fit the product before any prep or painting work. The hood is compatible with various 2019-2024 Ram 1500 models, including those with the 3.0L EcoDiesel, 3.6L V6, 5.7L Hemi, and 6.2L TRX engines. Aluminum wire mesh grill inserts are included where applicable.
