The Action Clutch Stage 1 (1OS) Clutch Kit is engineered for vehicles with stock to mild bolt-on modifications, offering a balance of performance and everyday drivability. This kit utilizes a robust Steel Backed Copper Kevlar Organic friction material, paired with a heavy-duty single diaphragm pressure plate. This combination ensures smooth and consistent engagement without compromising the factory pedal feel. Safety is a paramount concern for Action Clutch, which is why this kit incorporates patented, fully enclosed spring retainers. These prevent springs from dislodging, protecting your engine and transmission from potential catastrophic damage. Each kit undergoes rigorous quality checks by experienced engineers, ensuring reliability and consistent performance. The Stage 1 kit is recommended for heavy-duty street use and mild track applications. It has a torque holding capacity of 156 ft-lbs (rated in Crank Torque, not Wheel Torque). What’s Included: Sprung Organic Disc, Single Diaphragm HD Pressure Plate, Pilot Bearing / Bushing (when applicable), Clutch Alignment Tool, and Conventional Release Bearing. Proper break-in is essential for warranty coverage, longevity, and maintaining the clutch's holding capacity. This involves 500 street miles with RPMs kept under 4500, no more than half-throttle, and no boost (if applicable). This component is considered a high-performance racing part and may be used in dual-purpose vehicles, but it is not intended as an OEM replacement.
