Stage 1 Base Turbocharger Kit

The AVO Turboworld Stage 1 Base Turbocharger Kit is engineered as a comprehensive solution for the 2012+ Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S & 86, designed for both RHD and LHD models across all regions. Extensive testing has been conducted on both Japanese and US market vehicles, covering a wide range of conditions from track use to daily driving in extreme temperatures and altitudes, ensuring reliability on 91 and 92 octane pump gas. The turbocharger system features an AVO18/49 billet turbocharger with a 5-7 psi actuator for precise boost control. It mounts beneath the engine, connected to a stainless steel, unequal, ceramic-coated exhaust manifold and a ceramic-coated stainless steel 2.5" turbo outlet (downpipe), designed to connect to the stock exhaust system. Cooling is managed by a 3" bar and plate aluminum front mount intercooler with cast end tanks and black wire-reinforced silicone piping, specifically designed to fit the standard bumper without requiring trimming. Lubrication is handled by a unique mechanical oil scavenging pump, located at the back of the engine and driven by the RH camshaft, paired with an oil reservoir tank positioned near the turbocharger. This setup ensures consistent oil flow tied to engine RPM for proper scavenging at all speeds. Performance expectations from this kit include an estimated 230 to 250 wheel horsepower (whp) on pump gas, dependent on tune and gas quality. Dyno testing has shown figures of 243 whp (300 crank hp) and 201 ft-lbs of torque at 5-6 psi on 92 octane gas, using a stock airbox with an AVO high-flow panel filter and a stock secondary cat. The kit includes the 1849 Billet turbocharger, 8 PSI Actuator, Ceramic Coated Unequal Turbo Manifold & 2.5” Turbo Outlet, 3” Bar & Plate Intercooler with Steel & Silicon Piping, Turbo Mechanical Oil Suction Pump with Adaptor Plate, Turbo Oil Reservoir Tank, Oil Filler Neck and Turbo PCV Valve Oil System, OEM Blow-Off Valve, and Braided Turbo Oil Supply & Pump Lines. Note: No ECUTEK MAP is included in this kit.
