The Snow Performance Stage 1 Boost Cooler water methanol starter kit is designed for forced induction gasoline engines, compatible with both fuel-injected and carbureted setups. This budget-friendly kit offers an efficient intercooling solution, capable of lowering intake air temperatures by up to 60°C and improving charge air density. It works by injecting a water-methanol mixture when the adjustable boost pressure switch is activated, which helps suppress detonation caused by high temperatures and pressures in the combustion chamber. This octane enhancement can allow for increased boost levels and more aggressive timing, potentially leading to a 10-25% increase in power. The system also effectively steam cleans intake passages, reducing carbon buildup over time. The kit includes an Ultra High Output (UHO) pump, a 3-quart reservoir, two nozzles (#10 and #12) to accommodate a range of horsepower outputs, and all necessary hardware and comprehensive instructions for installation.
