Stage 1 Chassis Reinforcement Kit

For the ultimate MINI Cooper performance enthusiast, the M7 Speed Stage 1 Chassis Reinforcement Kit bundles two key suspension components: the M7 Strut Tower "J" Brace Kit and the M7 Under Strut System (USS). This kit is designed to be a direct bolt-on upgrade for Gen 2 MINI Cooper models, including the Clubman (R55), Convertible (R57), Coupe (R58), Hatchback (R56), and Roadster (R59). A stiffer chassis is crucial for optimizing suspension performance. By bracing, connecting, and triangulating the MINI Cooper's chassis, this kit allows the springs, shocks, and sway bars to function more effectively, ensuring better tire contact with the road. This translates to maximum grip, increased steering responsiveness, and a noticeable reduction in understeer during aggressive cornering or emergency maneuvers. The Strut Tower "J" Brace, constructed from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy billet, is precision CNC machined and finished with a matte black anodize. The Under Strut System, made from extruded and CNC machined aluminum with a durable black anodized finish, braces the underside of the chassis. It includes stainless steel fasteners and necessary tools for installation. Installation for the Strut Tower "J" Brace is straightforward, often taking less than 20 minutes and requiring no new nuts. However, it's important to note that the J-Brace has been modified for 2011-2013 MINI Cooper S models for improved clearance. Critically, due to limited hood clearance, this brace **does NOT fit the base model Cooper (non-'S' models)**. For the Under Strut System installation, ensure you have adequate space and can drill perpendicularly to the underbody; angled drilling will prevent proper installation. Additionally, there may be fitment issues with some Milltek and Alta exhaust systems.
