The Unitronic Stage 1+ ECU Performance Engine Tune is precisely engineered for vehicles equipped with the 1.8 TSI engine in a completely stock configuration. This performance software upgrade is designed to unlock substantial power gains, boosting output to 254 HP and 293 LB-FT on 93 octane (98 RON) fuel. This represents an increase of +84 HP and +108 LB-FT over stock power figures of 170 HP and 185 LB-FT. Features of this tune include being engineered with strict industry standards and extensively tested under various driving conditions. It maintains factory safety limiters and incorporates engine temperature protection, with rev limits adjusted based on engine coolant temperature. The software is optimized for improved responsiveness, drivability, smoothness, and driving comfort, while also delivering optimized maximum output and perfectly calibrated power delivery throughout the power band. Additionally, it offers improved fuel efficiency and removes the speed governor. Ignition timing is precisely calibrated for higher octane fuel. This programming and diagnostic tool allows users to flash their Engine Control Unit (ECU) from their garage, with the ability to upgrade software, revert to stock, and perform diagnostics. Unitronic recommends using specific battery chargers during the flashing process to ensure uninterrupted operation. This tune is compatible with the 2015-2019 VW Golf 1.8 TSI, 2017-2020 VW Alltrack 1.8 TSI, 2015-2020 VW Golf SportWagen 1.8 TSI, and 2014-2016 Audi A3 1.8 TSI models. The UniCONNECT+ system requires an Intel or AMD x86/x64 based processor; ARM-based processors are not compatible.
