The Gwatney Performance (GPI) Stage 1 Gen 5 LT1 Cam (SS1-LT) is a high-performance camshaft engineered for LT1 engines, focusing on naturally aspirated applications. With detailed specifications including a 219/231 duration, .639"/.639" lift, and a 113 LSA, this cam is designed to provide excellent low-end torque and a broad power band from idle up to 6800 RPM. It offers a stable idle speed of approximately 675 RPM and features a smooth lobe design aimed at ensuring quiet valve train operation and extended component longevity. This camshaft is suitable for vehicles with minimal modifications and is compatible with stock torque converters. For enhanced performance, it also pairs well with 3000+ RPM torque converters. Installation requires the use of .660 springs, upgraded pushrods, and an AFM/DoD delete.
